Italian forward Federico Chiesa recently shared his thoughts with Gazzetta, discussing various aspects of his career, including his departure from Juventus, his experiences with different coaches, and insights into other players.

Speaking about the **Premier League**, Chiesa acknowledged its renowned intensity but highlighted that he also observed significant quality among its teams. He mentioned playing alongside top players and finding strong, important talents even in clubs considered less prominent. Liverpool`s atmosphere at Anfield particularly impressed him, describing it as unique. He singled out Mohamed Salah as an “impressive” player, worthy of a Ballon d`Or.

Chiesa also touched upon his playing position. He noted that under Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus, he played the entire season as a **second striker** and was effective in that role. He added that Arne Slot has also opted to try him in this position, which he is pleased with. Chiesa believes that if two successful coaches see his potential as a forward, it validates his ability to play there.

Turning to his situation at **Juventus**, Chiesa revealed he was never formally offered a contract renewal, despite initial contact about discussions after the European Championship. He stated that upon returning from his holidays and wedding, he spoke directly with **Thiago Motta**, who informed him clearly: “You are not part of the project, find yourself a team.” Despite this, Chiesa emphasized his deep affection for Juventus and its supporters.

He described training with other players facing similar situations. The club was upfront from the beginning, allowing him to train with the main squad for two weeks before Motta decided he was no longer needed. As a professional, Chiesa accepted the decision and continued training independently to find a new club. He expressed significant disappointment, as he cared greatly for Juventus and felt he still had much to contribute. He spent four years at the club and maintained professional conduct, viewing his departure as the club`s choice. While training away from the squad allowed for good physical conditioning, he missed participating in friendlies, which he feels put him at a disadvantage upon joining Liverpool.

Reflecting on coaches, Chiesa credited Paulo Sousa with giving him his **Serie A debut** and Roberto Mancini for leading him to the peak of his career at the **European Championship**. However, he specifically highlighted **Massimiliano Allegri** for significantly contributing to his personal development and playing style.

When asked if Juventus is a closed chapter or if he would consider returning, perhaps on loan, Chiesa offered a hopeful “Never say never.” He feels he gave his all during his time in Turin, acknowledging that his injury interrupted his growth trajectory. He believed he could have improved further but wasn`t given the opportunity due to the coach`s different approach. He remains close with many friends at the club and finds it difficult to see them struggling. He didn`t anticipate such an ending, suggesting the club`s project didn`t unfold as planned. While reaching the Champions League was achieved, he stressed that for Juventus, a fourth-place finish is merely the minimum expectation.

Chiesa expressed happiness seeing **Giorgio Chiellini** in the new management structure, calling him a great captain and a guarantee for Juventus. Regarding **Dusan Vlahovic**, Chiesa commented that Dusan must make a choice that brings him happiness and allows him to demonstrate his full capabilities. He considers Vlahovic a great player but feels his future remains uncertain. Finally, Chiesa noted the significance of wearing the number 10 shirt at Juventus, describing young player **Kenan Yildiz** as intelligent and strong. He also praised **Douglas Luiz** as a strong player, suggesting Juventus made a good signing.
