Luigi Chiarello, a journalist for Italia Oggi, commented on Claudio Ranieri`s decision to decline the Italy national team job via his X profile.
«And so Ranieri isn`t foolish!», wrote Chiarello, quoting Ranieri. He added that Ranieri «won`t let himself be butchered by the blame-shifting of people like Gravina; he won`t be the latest scapegoat for an irresponsible, failing system dominated by local figures.»
Chiarello continued, «If the national team doesn`t resonate with those who should be passionate about it, there must be a reason. Who is even requesting his leadership?»
