Speaking on Calciomercato.it`s YouTube program `Juve Zone`, Franco Ceravolo shared his perspective on the potential signing of David by Juventus. He described David as a capable player who performed well in the French league, clarifying that referring to him as a `free agent` is somewhat misleading. However, Ceravolo stressed that David alone is not the answer to Juventus`s challenges; the team fundamentally needs the addition of 2-3 players possessing strong personalities to lead the squad effectively. He added that Igor Tudor certainly exhibits this required quality, though he acknowledged his view might be colored by personal bias.
Regarding the young talent Kenan Yildiz, Ceravolo commented: “He possesses unique potential, and I would absolutely never consider letting him leave. He has the capacity to become a cornerstone player for Juventus. It`s advisable not to draw comparisons with other legendary number tens at this stage. We must avoid rushing his development, as doing so risks hindering his progress or `burning him out`. True champions require character development as well, so patience is essential with him.”
When asked to compare Francisco Conceicao and Jadon Sancho, Ceravolo expressed a clear preference for the Portuguese winger. “I`ve consistently admired Conceicao,” he stated. “He is a player who excels at creating numerical superiority and has proven his value on the pitch. Sancho is also significant, but personally, I would make every effort to keep Conceicao. If I were the sporting director at Juventus, I would figuratively chain him to the club to ensure he stays.”
Discussing Igor Tudor`s potential role in Juventus`s future, Ceravolo remarked: “From a professional standpoint, he has accumulated all the necessary experience through his career path. He possesses the right passion and drive for this profession, coupled with strong character and personality. He handled the end of the season remarkably well, particularly amidst discussions about who might replace him. I find it encouraging and am happy at the prospect of seeing him potentially remain at Juventus.”
