Cagliari Primavera Coach Pisacane Focuses on Juventus After Coppa Italia Triumph

Fabio Pisacane, the coach of Cagliari Primavera, spoke in the press room following his team`s victory in the Primavera Italian Cup final. He expressed, “This is a moment of happiness, and I am fully enjoying it. I am happy for the fans and their incredible support in following us here. The match wasn`t perfect, which is normal. I always remain grounded and maintain a low profile, but starting tomorrow, we are already thinking about Juventus.”

Regarding the team: “I have always told the boys that you cannot achieve anything alone. I`ve always emphasized that the group is the most important thing, and today`s game demonstrated that the boys listened to me. This victory is the result of a long journey, starting from the win in Genoa, which was not guaranteed. I was sorry to leave Trepy out, but he proved once again to be essential. I`ve always been curious to learn, to absorb everything from everyone, to understand how a coach can start. I have always been humble and learned a lot from all the coaches I`ve had in my career.”

On winning the trophy: “As you know, when I retired, I had a bad knee. When I started coaching, it was others who pointed out my coaching talent. I always maintain a low profile, respect everyone, and as I tell the boys, fear no one. I dreamed of winning a trophy, but I didn`t expect it to happen so soon. Serie A was like winning a World Cup for me. With my physique, it was difficult to play at high levels, but I never gave up, and this is what I try to instill in the boys. I have ambition, not presumption. I dedicate this victory to my son Andrea, who wrote in a school essay that his father was no longer present. This job requires sacrifice and inevitably takes you away from family. Every day I think about what has happened to me, I thank the Lord for giving me a second life. At the final whistle today, I was very happy and just thought about enjoying this moment.”
