Cagliari President Tommaso Giulini met with former Torino coach Paolo Vanoli to discuss the potential head coaching position for the 2025/2026 season.
The face-to-face meeting took place this afternoon at the Milan offices of Fluorsid, the company owned by the Cagliari president.
Vanoli has long been a favored candidate for Giulini; he was also contacted last summer when Cagliari was seeking a successor to Claudio Ranieri.
Today`s discussion is likely not the final word, as Primavera coach Fabio Pisacane is also considered a candidate for the role.
The rossoblù club is scheduled to hold a summit tomorrow to make a definitive decision, taking into account the outcome of today`s meeting between Giulini and Vanoli.
Cagliari appears keen to accelerate the process, partly because the new coach will need to be involved in crucial decisions regarding the potential signings of players like Caprile, Piccoli, and Adopo.
