Gianluigi Buffon, speaking at the WEmbrace Awards, commented on the situation at Juventus in an interview with Sky Sport. The former Juventus goalkeeper also discussed Igor Tudor and a possible new role for Chiellini at the club, mentioning Del Piero and Marchisio as well. Here are his statements:
`Tudor always stands out in a group, both for his physical presence and his significant ideas. He loves to interact and will spread positive energy. I wish him good luck; he will need it to succeed.`
SQUAD VALUE – `I believe this team has talented players with good principles. So far, they have not been able to demonstrate it. We hope that Tudor will help them express their technical and moral potential, for the good of Italian football and Juve.`
CHIELLINI`S ROLE – `It is true that Giorgio knows Juve well. Having experienced it as an important player, he knows how to help and advise others to overcome problems. Others like Del Piero, Marchisio, Bonucci, or Barzagli could also do it. However, we must not only think about the past of a champion: being a manager requires specific skills, which are not automatically acquired after being a great player.`
FUTURE – `At the moment, I really like my role in the National team, and I thank Gravina. I hope I have done a good job for the Federation. My only goal is to be happy, engaging in projects that are close to my heart and that I am passionate about.`
SON`S DEBUT – `I am very happy for my son, for the person he is and will become. I am proud that he scored for the Czech national team; we talked about it together and decided that it was the best choice, given that the Czech Federation had contacted him some time ago. In life, you have to be responsible, and that is what I have taught my son.`
