Brescia`s Curva Nord fans continue their strong opposition to club president Massimo Cellino. They have announced a rally scheduled for Tuesday evening under the club`s headquarters, reiterating their call for him to step down and sell the team.
“Tuesday evening, June 3rd at 8:30 PM, we will all gather under the Brescia football club headquarters on Via Solferino to express our contempt for a piece of shit man who is leading us to ruin!” stated a message published on the ultras` social media channels. “You must leave, don`t even think about staying in this city, because we will not allow it, neither for you nor for anyone who agrees to work for or with you.”
The statement directly addressed Cellino`s recent comments: “It`s useless for you to cry over yourself like a victim about the penalty, the only ones losing out are us who have Brescia in our hearts… YOU ARE THE SOLE AND ONLY ONE RESPONSIBLE for this umpteenth disaster you have committed as president of Brescia.” The ultras emphasized their unwavering support for the club, regardless of its league status, concluding with a forceful demand for Cellino`s permanent departure: “We will always be here regardless of the category. You must leave! Disappear forever from Brescia, sell and get the fuck out.”
The fans` strong words follow Cellino`s interview with *Gazzetta dello Sport* the previous day, where he maintained he was the victim of a scam. “They defrauded me, Covisoc and the Tax Agency. They defrauded everyone, we are all victims and I am devastatingly sorry,” Cellino was quoted as saying. “I would have preferred to die under a car than suffer something like this.”
