Barbara Bonansea spoke to Rai after Juventus Women`s victory against Milan, which secured them the Scudetto. Here are her words:
What makes you happiest?
“Being all together celebrating, seeing everyone happy. As you get older, you look into the eyes of others, and it`s beautiful to see everyone happy because it has been a year where we worked so hard. We gave up many days off, we didn`t take them, and this is something that repays us.”
It has been two difficult years for you, and finally, victory has returned…
“Yes, because at Juve everyone expects you to win, and so when you don`t, it`s difficult. You go through sad weeks, months, years. This year, we tried to bring out all our energy, so we are truly very happy.”
From a personal point of view, are you happy?
“Actually, it`s not like I had left. I think difficult moments happen to everyone, and I had to face them. I tried to stay in it and understand what I was missing, and now I`m trying to regain my physical shape, since I`ve been out for a bit. We are trying to play these last two games and the Coppa Italia.”
