Claudio Fenucci, the Chief Executive Officer of Bologna, recently spoke on the sidelines of the Serie A Festival.
During his comments, Fenucci addressed the situation surrounding players linked with moves elsewhere, specifically mentioning Dan Ndoye, who has reportedly attracted interest from clubs like Napoli and Juventus.
“Coach [Thiago] Italiano also wanted the same thing [to keep the team together] and has always stated that he feels good here at Bologna,” Fenucci remarked.
Discussing the process of retaining players and potentially extending contracts, Fenucci emphasized the importance of concrete negotiations beyond just the desire to stay:
“To extend a relationship, we need to discuss tangible matters, in addition to the mutual desire to remain together. We sat down and finalized things during a dinner meeting.”
Regarding the reported interest from other clubs, Fenucci indicated that Bologna has not been directly approached:
“I am not aware if there were other interested parties directly contacting us; no one has ever reached out to us, and everyone has conducted themselves correctly in that regard.”
When specifically asked if Dan Ndoye was the player generating the most requests from other teams, Fenucci acknowledged general interest in the squad but reiterated the club`s current objective:
“There is interest in many of our players, but as of today, our intention is to keep all of them.”
