Bologna vs Juventus: Matchday Preview and Statistics

Juventus` official website provides a pre-match statistical analysis for the Serie A game tonight against Bologna at the Dall`Ara stadium.

FORM STATUS

Bologna comes into the match with two consecutive clean sheets in the league. They haven`t achieved three in a row in Serie A since March-April 2024 (a run of four at that time).

Since the start of 2025, Bologna has earned the most home points in Serie A with 23, from seven wins and two draws in nine matches played at the Dall`Ara.

Bologna has lost only once in their last 21 home Serie A matches (a 2-3 defeat to Hellas Verona on December 30, 2024). In their last eight league games at the Dall`Ara, they have recorded seven wins and one draw.

Bologna has accumulated 61 points in 34 Serie A games this season, two fewer than at the same stage last season (63). However, a win against Juventus would allow the Rossoblù to equal their best points tally after 35 matches in the three-points-per-win era (64 points last season).

Considering only the 2025 calendar year, Bologna would be second in the table with 33 points (level with Napoli), behind only Roma (40). Furthermore, no team has scored more Serie A goals in 2025 than Bologna (27, level with Inter, Napoli, and Milan).

Juventus, who defeated Monza in their last match, hasn`t won two consecutive Serie A games since a run of five victories between February and March. The Bianconeri have taken just one point (1 draw, 2 defeats) in their last three away league matches and haven`t gone four consecutive away games without a win since the end of last season (a run of eight matches at that time).

Juventus has accumulated 62 points so far, their lowest tally after the opening 34 Serie A matches since the 2010/11 season (53 points). However, excluding the 2022/23 season when they received a points deduction, the Bianconeri have always finished in the top four when exceeding 60 points at this stage of the tournament in the three-points-per-win era.

Juventus has collected just one point and scored only one goal in their last three Serie A away games (1 draw, 2 defeats). They have not gone four consecutive away league matches without a win this season.

Juventus has earned only nine points from eight away Serie A matches played since the start of 2025 (2 wins, 3 draws, 3 defeats), the same number of points as Cagliari away from home. Eight other teams have performed better in away games since the start of the calendar year.

COACH CHALLENGE (Historical Matchups Cited)

Looking at historical coach matchups cited: Igor Tudor and Vincenzo Italiano have faced each other twice in Serie A (2021/22 season, Verona vs Fiorentina), both matches ending 1-1.

As a coach, Vincenzo Italiano has lost six Serie A matches against Juventus (1 win, 2 draws). He has only lost more times against Lazio in the competition (seven).

Igor Tudor has won all three Serie A matches he has coached against Bologna. Among teams he has a 100% win rate against, Bologna is the one he has faced the most times in the competition (three).

PLAYER FOCUS

Considering the last two Serie A seasons, only Yann Sommer (31) and Vanja Milinkovic-Savic (28) have kept more clean sheets than Michele Di Gregorio (25) and Lukasz Skorupski (21, level with Maignan). Bologna`s goalkeeper, Lukasz Skorupski, notably made his Serie A debut against Juventus on May 11, 2014, playing for Roma.

Looking ahead, the next match will be Michele Di Gregorio`s 100th Serie A appearance (35 clean sheets and 112 goals conceded to date). Interestingly, three of his 35 clean sheets have reportedly come in his last three games played against Bologna in the competition. (Note: Di Gregorio plays for Monza).

Last season, Nico González scored five of his 12 total goals from April onwards. Since joining Serie A, 48% of his goals (13 out of 27) have been scored in April, May, and June. May, in particular, is his most prolific month in the league with six goals. He has been directly involved in more Serie A goals against Sassuolo (four goals) than against Bologna (three – one goal, two assists). He has also been involved in three goals against Atalanta, Cagliari, Napoli, Milan, and Monza. (Note: Nico González plays for Fiorentina).

Randal Kolo-Muani has scored six goals in 12 Serie A appearances for Juventus. His average of 0.5 goals per match is his highest career scoring rate for a club in Europe`s top five leagues, compared to 8 goals in 36 appearances for PSG, 16 in 34 for Eintracht, and 21 in 79 for Nantes. (Note: Kolo-Muani plays for PSG).

Dusan Vlahovic has scored six Serie A goals against Bologna, only bettering this tally against Cagliari (eight). In the reverse fixture, he provided an assist, taking his total direct goal involvements against Bologna to eight (six goals, two assists) in their last eight league encounters. The next match will be Dusan`s 200th Serie A appearance. The Serbian striker has scored nine goals in 26 league games this season and could become the second player after Lautaro Martínez to reach double figures for goals in each of the last five Serie A seasons.

Pierre Kalulu is the player with the most carries of at least five meters in Serie A this season (611) and the one who has covered the greatest total distance carrying the ball (6924 meters). (Note: Kalulu plays for Milan).

Andrea Cambiaso has a past with the Rossoblù, having played 32 Serie A matches for Bologna in the 2022/23 season.

All of Khéphren Thuram`s last seven Serie A goal involvements (out of a total of eight) have come at the Allianz Stadium: three goals and four assists. The Frenchman hasn`t been directly involved in an away league goal since September 28 against Genoa (assist). Khéphren has been directly involved in eight goals this season (three goals, five assists). The last central midfielder to have a better debut season for both Juventus and in Serie A was Sami Khedira (nine involvements – five goals, four assists – in 2015/16). (Note: Khéphren Thuram plays for Nice).

In the nine Serie A matches where Renato Veiga has played for Juventus, the team has averaged 2.1 points per game (better than 1.7 points in the 25 games without him) and boasts a win percentage of 66.7%, compared to 40% without him.

One of the three Serie A goals scored by Samuel Mbangula secured the final 2-2 scoreline in the reverse fixture at the Stadium. However, the 2004-born winger has reportedly not yet played a minute in the league under the current coach (his last appearance was in the 3-0 win against Fiorentina). (Note: Mbangula is a young Juve player).
