Bologna Coach Italiano: “Another Top-Level Performance, We Continue to Build”

Bologna coach Vincenzo Italiano spoke to Dazn after his team`s draw against Napoli, sharing his thoughts on the match.

He commented: “Castro`s chance was a potential game-winner. It would have rewarded our excellent second half. If he`s more decisive, he could have scored. It`s a shame. They were better in the first half, but we were fantastic in the second. We`ll take this point.”

Is this a positive night?

“A draw against Napoli means we`ve earned a point against a top team. We add this point and maintain our consistency. The second half was outstanding. We need to continue this positive run. Today was another high-quality performance.”

Will teams struggle to play here with this attitude?

“I just told the guys that. We need to maintain this attitude for the remaining league games. We`re playing against the best teams, but this reaction after going behind against Napoli is very encouraging. We need to build on this momentum and try to capitalize on it more. Miranda and Holm put in many crosses, and we need to exploit those a bit more.”

How pleased are you with the squad depth?

“Everyone is stepping up and giving their all, even for just 5 minutes. I was pleased with Fabbian and Dominguez. This makes our squad deeper. I`m happy with everyone, and we need to stay united because we have a lot at stake. We have something extraordinary to achieve. Our motto must be `one for all, all for one`.”

What`s the secret to this atmosphere?

“It`s a wonderful secret of this stadium in recent years. There`s an incredible atmosphere, and the players feel this encouragement. It`s right to thank them with these performances. We need to show that we sweat for the shirt. They are always by our side.”
