Biasin on TMW: “Yildiz Made a Mistake But Doesn’t Deserve a Massacre. Leave Him in Peace”

In his editorial piece for TMW, Fabrizio Biasin addressed the sending off of Kenan Yildiz during the Juventus-Monza match. Biasin posed the question: “Did Yildiz, expelled in Juve-Monza, make a mistake? Absolutely, yes. Does Yildiz deserve a `massacre` of criticism? Please, be serious.”

He argued that reacting with swift, harsh judgments to an instinctive gesture, which he acknowledged was certainly not honorable and caused obvious harm to his team, is a characteristically Italian trait that he finds quite tiresome. Biasin concluded his thoughts by stating: “The young man committed an error, he has offered his apologies, and he has no previous incidents of this nature… leave him in peace.”
