Given his history, having grown up and played in Bologna`s youth system, Balzarini found it perfectly natural for Mancini to attend a game involving his former team.
However, Balzarini acknowledged that Mancini`s presence at a time of intense speculation regarding Igor Tudor`s future could understandably lead some people to make connections or assume significance.
Despite this, Balzarini stated, “I believe this was purely a matter of coincidence, at least at this specific moment.” He clarified that, contrary to potential assumptions arising from his attendance, Mancini is not currently considered the primary candidate should there be a change in Tudor`s coaching position. Balzarini maintained that the top candidate remains Antonio Conte.
Balzarini further explained that the potential realization of such a scenario would depend on factors involving both Antonio Conte and Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis, emphasizing that his remarks were purely theoretical in nature and part of the ongoing discussion surrounding potential coaching shifts.
