Speaking on his YouTube channel, journalist Gianni Balzarini provided an update regarding the potential transfer of Jonathan David to Juventus. According to Balzarini, a deal for the Canadian forward could be approaching its conclusion.
He indicated that a meeting is anticipated soon in the United States involving Juventus director Comolli, the player, and his agents. David is currently in the US participating in a tournament.
Balzarini revealed that the financial terms for the player`s contract are reportedly already settled, agreed at €6 million per season plus €2 million in performance-related bonuses.
However, the primary obstacle holding up the completion of the transfer is the fee demanded by Jonathan David`s agent. The agent is reportedly seeking $10 million, which Balzarini noted translates to over €11 million at current exchange rates. Balzarini described this amount as excessive and argued that without decisive measures to cap agent commissions, the concept of cost-effective acquisitions is undermined.
