Roma Women`s coach Alessandro Spugna commented on the defeat against Juventus after the match. He stated that the team`s poor start significantly impacted their performance.
Spugna admitted, “The start wasn`t the best, and this affected our reaction. When you gift Juventus two goals, it becomes challenging to recover.” Despite this, he complimented his players, saying, “I must commend the girls for their reaction. They gave it their all, that`s for sure.”
He pointed out key issues: “We lacked the right approach, and we made too many individual errors. We are a team that aims to play offensively, and when we make technical mistakes, we become vulnerable to counter-attacks, which Juventus exploited with their speed.”
Looking ahead, Spugna emphasized the importance of moving forward. “From tomorrow, we need to turn the page. This applies whether we win or lose. We need to analyze what went wrong, recover our energy, and prepare for a strong game in Milan. We also have the Coppa Italia final coming up, and we need to be in the best possible shape for that.”
