Alberto Mauro: “Conceicao? Below €30m a deal could be closed. In defense, I wouldn’t sign a big name…”

Speaking on `Juve Zone` on the Calciomercato.it Youtube channel, journalist Alberto Mauro discussed the situation concerning Conceicao. Mauro commented: “Things have been up and down. Now everything has changed with Comolli, but in a 3-4-2-1 formation, he`s a bit limited as this system doesn`t typically use attacking wingers. Having Yildiz in the attacking midfield role is different from having Conceicao. There`s no doubt about his quality as a player, but I`m uncertain how well he`d fit Tudor`s specific tactical approach. It`s sensible to consider this. Perhaps Juventus could negotiate the deal structure and the final price; if Porto is willing to accept less than €30 million, a transfer might be feasible.”

Regarding the defense, he added: “Given that Bremer and Cabal are expected to return, I wouldn`t burden the squad with another high-profile signing like Araujo would be. Bringing in another major player would overcrowd the defense with Kelly, Bremer, Cabal, Gatti, and Kalulu, plus Savona returning. Managing another player with a significant salary and standing becomes difficult. Leoni is a decent prospect, and though there`s competition for him, I don`t see him as an immediate starter, but he could get some minutes to assess his capabilities. I`d lean towards a young, promising defender. Otherwise, it becomes complex having three senior players potentially on the bench. My concern lies with Bremer`s recovery and when he`ll reach full fitness. Juventus currently isn`t in a position to wait, especially since Savona is also sidelined for a couple of months, creating ongoing defensive issues.”
