Adani Insists Di Lorenzo Penalty Was Clear: “It’s a Penalty Today, Tomorrow, and 10 Years From Now”

`Adani:

During the post-match analysis of the Germany-Italy Nations League quarter-final first leg (which ended 3-3), Daniele Adani strongly stated his opinion on the penalty incident initially awarded to Italy for a foul on Giovanni Di Lorenzo, but later overturned by VAR.

The former defender and current Rai commentator didn`t mince words in his assessment of the incident. “The penalty disallowed for Di Lorenzo? Guys, this is a penalty yesterday, today, and tomorrow. We`ll still be talking about it in ten years. It wasn`t in a World Cup final, but it remains a penalty. It`s not debatable.”

Adani added, “The defender clearly catches Di Lorenzo`s foot, and the ball remains in the Italian player`s control. It`s a decision that leaves no room for interpretation: it was a penalty.”
